Symbolism ...

It is only in the last few years that I have come to see the world and planet earth, in a new way. And what a revelation it has been!! I see spiritual and symbolical meaning in the world around me, instead of just that which is visually seen.

Since becoming an observer I have carried out research, and found that past civilizations and cultures had knowledge of such matters. There has always been mystics and scholars, and other learned people, who had the ability to find greater meaning to what is simply present ... and of course this continues ...

I would like to give you some examples of what I am talking about! These are basic meanings of "things" that have come to mind, and which I have looked into ... if you are interested you can do research of your own. It is really interesting and fun!! And oh, I took the photos myself, except for one!

"Frangipani"

 Shelter and protection

"Dragonfly"

Going beyond what is on the surface -looking into the deeper aspects of life - living life in the moment, and to its fullest - transference of illusion into truth ...

"Sea Shells"

Generally associated with regeneration, fertility, marriage, water, life and love. Different ones have different meanings e.g. Conch shell is said to represent infinity ... the space that expands in a clockwise direction, is like the human journey of life.

"Turtles"

Longevity, immortality - to slow down and see the connection between all things.

"Rose Quartz Crystal"

Often called the "Love Stone" re unconditional love and opening the heart chakra. Has high energy and can enhance love in any situation.

"Kookaburra"

Finding joy in life again!!

I hope that you have enjoyed my post and the tiny amount of information I have given ... there is sooo much more to know ...

  2. Ha-ha Michele, it was the kookaburra! I didn't have one around at the time, but wanted to include it for someone who had asked me what its symbolism was.
