Staying balanced is an art ... it takes practice. There is so much that life requires of us, and we require of life.
I am sure that for most of us it is difficult to achieve perfect balance. There are tools we can use like regular exercise, meditation, and taking time out to relax, by enjoying our selves, and the world around us. But it is unrealistic to think that we can always have perfect order, and the time to devote equally to each part of our lives. After all balance is not about being perfect ... how stressful would that be?
Our lives do contain parts. We work, we play, we have families and friends etc. ...
To my mind balance is about prioritizing, and being centred within ones self. It is about doing first of all that which is necessary to sustain our lives in this present world ... and by setting aside quality time for those that we care about. And it is not about feeling guilty, if we can't always give each part equal attention. We can simply do the best that we can, and remember to love ...
Those of you who have read my book "White Balloons," will know that I connect in a spiritual way, with the dragonfly ... it symbolizes for me the balance between heaven and earth ...
